Greetings,

I am Kyu Jeung Ahn, the 42nd president of the Korean Diabetes Association (KDA). As we welcome the new year of 2025, I sincerely wish all members of the association good health, well-being, and an abundance of luck.

Our association is actively working with approximately 4,000 members on our mission to “free the world of diabetes,” bringing together experts from various fields. Amid the rapidly increasing prevalence of diabetes, we play a crucial role as a central institution for research, clinical practice, education, and management.

As president, I will focus even more on the association’s mission for our members and patients, working closely with Chairman Cha Bong-su and the executive board to explore new possibilities in diabetes management and research. In addition, I will do my best to contribute to enhancing the association’s reputation based on the achievements of the International Congress of Diabetes and Metabolism (ICDM) and the Diabetete & Metabolism Journal (DMJ), and to support cooperation and productive activities among members.

I ask for your continued interest and participation in this process, and I hope we can achieve meaningful results together. Once again, I wish you health and happiness in the new year of 2025.
